However, unprecedented times call for unprecedented action so we are asking all of our supporters to come together now to help our most vulnerable families.
Recently, Homefirst established a much-needed COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund specifically earmarked to supplement our existing emergency direct assistance programs. Unfortunately, calls for our services have significantly increased from families seeking food bags, direct rental assistance, temporary shelter, and linkages to available government benefits.
DONATE TODAY
On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, the world will come together to recognize #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of generosity and unity designed to specifically address the COVID-19 pandemic.  It is a day to raise awareness “to give, to help, to thank and to heal.”
Homefirst will participate by sharing our stories of courage and success, and information about how our services have impacted families in need.
The data is clear!  In 2019 we were able to help 2,000 families in Union County, NJ.  Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we saw an increase of 114% from 2018 totaling $99,000 in contributions in addition to gaining 98 more donors. We provided $75,000 in direct emergency housing assistance to families in crisis, $5,500 was distributed for utility payments, 20 families received funds to avoid utility shutoffs and 50 families received funds for back rent and security deposits.
However, calls for our services have skyrocketed and the situation has become dire.
Here is your opportunity to participate in #GivingTuesdayNow. Please help Homefirst by giving to our COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.  Your help will make it possible for us to meet the tremendous need our families are facing because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Here’s how you can help:

We thank each and every one of you for all you have done to help Homefirst fulfill our mission to help the homeless and families in need.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
