Homefirst’s Third Annual Evening of Thanks Celebration:
Homefirst is proud to recognize and honor outstanding leaders who support families in need at our 2015 Evening of Thanks. Each honoree has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of the homeless and low-income families that are served each and every day by Homefirst’s donors, partners, staff and volunteers.
Introducing This Year’s Honoree – The Presbyterian Church in Westfield:
Homefirst is proud to announce that The Presbyterian Church in Westfield will be honored at this year’s Evening of Thanks event.
The Presbyterian Church in Westfield has a long held commitment to helping those in need. During the early years of Homefirst, The Presbyterian Church in Westfield was a faithful and loyal partner in the Interfaith Hospitality Network. The 60 plus church volunteers, who ran the shelter, were tireless advocates on behalf of the homeless families who took up temporary residence at the church.
Today, the Presbyterian Church in Westfield continues to be a loyal supporter of Homefirst through generous financial support made possible by the Presbyterian Women and other church groups. Their support makes its possible for Homefirst to assist children and families in need. Although we have not yet fulfilled our goal of ending homelessness, we have helped thousands of adults and children avoid homelessness and overcome the trauma of being homeless for almost 30 years. We hope that you join us for an inspirational evening!
