Armando Guerra, New Jersey Governor of Lions Club International (District 16J), is named as an honoree for his contribution to humanitarian relief. Guerra’s reach has been felt in the community through his efforts with the Lions Club International. Fulfilling his club’s mission to provide help in times of disaster conducting vision and health screenings, building parks, supporting eye hospitals, awarding scholarships, and assisting the youth, he served his organization as the 1st Vice District Governor, 2nd Vice District Governor, and currently in his new role. In addition, Guerra’s philanthropic achievements are complemented by a solid 13 years of real estate experience where he has been helping families turn their houses into homes since 2005.
In addition to Mr. Guerra, other honorees are:

  • Annette Quijano, Assemblywoman NJ Legislative District 20
  • Adrian Mapp, Mayor of Plainfield, NJ

 
“Each year the Homefirst Our Evening of Thanks event recognizes and honors the people, businesses and organizations who have been extremely generous with their time, talent and treasure to enable us to offer the services we provide to nearly 2,000 children, men and women throughout Union County. It’s only with the support of our partners, funders and volunteers that we are able to make a difference in the lives of so many, by giving them a helping hand to a pathway out of poverty,” said Rev.
